Chaos

This is an old post but still extremely valid and almost spot on how today is going 😂 As I’m in the home stretch of changing the baby’s poopy diaper, which, thankfully stayed IN his diaper thanks to one piece jamms while looking at  the Duplo blocks that Q just dumped and walked away from (thanks son), I hear my biggest chaoser (probably not a word but it’s Saturday so who cares) dumping and spreading something else out in the living room area. I simply hope it’s nothing too bad. Finish the diaper, success, one thing complete. Head to the kitchen to see all the number and alphabet flash cards out, it’s my lucky day! Next to the flash cards are the magic tracks (don’t get me started on those things, they hurt when you step on them and all the kids do is rip them apart and scatter them around the house as little plastic weapons) that I’ve had put up a couple times to donate, what even is happening? The middle kiddo isn’t even home right now as she’s with Daddy helping do some chores f

Intro Post (three posts late) 🙄

Alright, I'll do it! I'll introduce you to my crazy life! Hi. I'm Jenny and I'm only slightly crazy. Married, almost four years now (When did that happen??). Three kids. Boy. Girl. Boy. We live in the best place on earth (I made that up since I've really never lived anywhere else so don't get angry with me about it.) the PNW. Rain and mud and three warm days a year is how we do it here. Okay, this year we've had like ten warm days. But still. I love Jesus. I'm going to do this fun thing where I keep track of how long this post takes to actually get finished so today is the first day and it's the 13th of July (Aww, Happy 11 month birthday to our Huds!). I don't even know what to tell you. I stay home with the kids, we own a gym, my kids are really good at making messes, (here's where I had stopped and now is October 1st 😂 #winning) and my favorite drink is decaf caramel macchiato with coconut milk and lite caramel. My other favorite

Growing Up and Out of Clothes

We all know that our Littles won't fit those size 2 converse or the 6 month jammas forever, but what do we do with all those outgrown articles of clothing that were worn only a few times?  There is a solution to this and it's a good one in my opinion! First of all, are you planning on having more babes? If so, save some (or all!)  of the clothes for next babies. You'll want the stock pile  to save you heaps of money!! Even with more babies coming down the road I still went through and picked out a bunch of stuff that I didn't want to keep that I either didn't like the way it fit Little Man or else he never even wore (Poor boy has a picky Momma and Daddy.)!        Next, wash up your to-go's and make sure they are free of stains or holes. Fold or lay them neatly in a box and you are ready! Ready to trade-in those clothes and get some bigger ones. We have quite a few local resale shops in our area and I'm sure you do too! Ask your momma friends where the

Toys, boys, and a happy house

I know I'm due for an introduction post but that's going to have to wait until another nightly time. Tonight I want to touch on toys. While I could  ramble on how everything we touch, taste, smell, clean with, or wear has junk like chemicals and synthetics in it, I am going to stick with what our sweet wee ones are surrounded by. Their play things. Balls, dolls, fake food, music playing toys. Do you know what these fun gadgets that baby boy is constantly exploring with his mouth and hands are made of? Where the colorful tea set that sister is drinking her tea and eating her crumpets off of was made? These are questions that we, as parents should be wondering.  As a parent I'm very cautious of ingredients in my food as well as what I'm giving my son. We avoid high fructose corn syrup and added dyes, which is just one small way that I protect my child (food post for another night!) but his toys! He eats those daily and is constantly touching and throwing them across the

Night time, my time.

It seems silly to have a set time out of the day for yourself and it's not something I have ever done (besides devotionals , but that's not MY time  anyways!). With saying that, I've come to realize that after the boys are asleep I sort of do take my time! I generally make Hub's lunch for the next day and check my social media sites. I also find that I do research at night as well. Lately I've been looking at party themes for birthdays (because seriously my baby is almost one?!) and  have finally (I think) decided on one! My newest obsession is looking for Eco friendly toys. I recently became part of Generation Good which is an extension of Seventh Generation and have gained so much from it already! There are so many chemicals that babies are introduced to even just from breast feeding (um, beyond sad!). I already use natural cleaning products on the house but want to go beyond that. He, referring to my little man Q, chews on everything  and toys are FULL of chemic
