Growing Up and Out of Clothes
We all know that our Littles won't fit those size 2 converse or the 6 month jammas forever, but what do we do with all those outgrown articles of clothing that were worn only a few times? There is a solution to this and it's a good one in my opinion! First of all, are you planning on having more babes? If so, save some (or all!) of the clothes for next babies. You'll want the stock pile to save you heaps of money!! Even with more babies coming down the road I still went through and picked out a bunch of stuff that I didn't want to keep that I either didn't like the way it fit Little Man or else he never even wore (Poor boy has a picky Momma and Daddy.)!
Next, wash up your to-go's and make sure they are free of stains or holes. Fold or lay them neatly in a box and you are ready! Ready to trade-in those clothes and get some bigger ones. We have quite a few local resale shops in our area and I'm sure you do too! Ask your momma friends where they go if you aren't familiar with what's around you, you may come across your new favorite trading post. I always find it fun taking stuff to trade and finding new treasures for the kids at a way lower price tag than if we bought it brand new. Call me thrifty, or cheap, either works! I hope you enjoy your next or first trip to the consignment or resale shops!
